MBE CPAs is seeking an entry-level Audit/Assurance Associate to support the audit team in examining client financial records for GAAP compliance. This role is ideal for professionals with up to 2 years in public accounting looking to build a solid foundation in audit within a growing firm.

You will assist with audits, analyze records, learn firm procedures, and collaborate with seniors and managers to deliver accurate engagements while providing a professional client experience.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of audit or public accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA eligible or pursuing CPA preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently and as part of a team.
• Candidates willing to work onsite preferred, but hybrid work may be considered based on experience and location.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with audit engagements, including testing, documentation, and preparation of workpapers.
• Analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting issues and escalating findings to senior team members.
• Learning and applying audit methodologies, standards, and firm procedures.
• Working closely with Audit Seniors and Managers to complete engagements efficiently and accurately.
• Communicating with clients as directed and providing a professional, positive experience.
• Building foundational knowledge of clients' businesses and industries.
