Job summary

MBE CPAs is seeking entry-level Audit / Assurance Associates to support the audit team by examining client financial records to ensure GAAP compliance and firm standards. Ideal for 0–2 years of public accounting experience and a foundation in audit building.

Responsibilities include testing, documentation, working with Seniors and Managers, communicating with clients professionally, and building knowledge of clients' businesses.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of audit or public accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA eligible or intent to pursue CPA preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willing to work onsite; hybrid may be considered based on experience and location.

Responsibilities

• Assist with audit engagements, including testing, documentation, and workpapers.
• Analyze client financial records to identify issues and escalate.
• Learn and apply audit methodologies, standards, and firm procedures.
• Work with Audit Seniors and Managers to complete engagements efficiently.
• Communicate with clients professionally and provide a positive experience.
• Build foundational knowledge of clients' businesses and industries.
