Job summary

Sandoval County seeks a Junior Appraiser to collect property information, determine market values, and appraise residential properties using cost and market approaches. Under supervision, you will inspect properties, measure improvements, confirm map details, and input data into the CAMA system.

You’ll learn valuation methods and assist with protests while interacting with owners and tax representatives. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of related office/field experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with relevant office/field experience or real estate related work.
• IAAO course 101 within one year of hire.
• IAAO course 102 within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collects property information and determines market value for assigned properties.
• Inspects properties, measures improvements, and inputs data into CAMA system.
• Learns and applies cost and market approaches to value.
• Communicates with property owners and tax reps to address inquiries.
