You will work with stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver production-quality software that integrates large language models, prompts, retrieval, and API interactions.

The role spans client delivery, internal product work, rapid proofs of concept, and enablement, with emphasis on practical solutions and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated ability.
• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience building apps integrating large language models including prompt engineering and retrieval augmented generation.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities with APIs, data handling, and user-facing functionality.
• Familiarity with Python, TypeScript, or SQL, API integration and handling imperfect data.
• Ability to conduct requirements conversations with non-technical stakeholders and propose approaches.
• Willingness to question designs and propose alternatives.
• Ability to work through ambiguous requirements and drive tasks to completion.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Take a defined technical approach and build production-quality functionality.
• Participate in requirements discussions with stakeholders to understand workflow and outcomes.
• Contribute to solution design with alternative approaches to simplify AI components.
• Build applications that integrate AI capabilities with prompts, retrieval, APIs, data handling, and UX.
• Create evaluation sets, measure results, and report findings honestly.
• Investigate failures by identifying causes and implementing fixes.
• Support client demonstrations and proof-of-concepts.
• Seek feedback and build understanding of client needs and best practices.
• Document work with logging, traceability, validation methods, and failure handling.
• Move between client delivery, internal product work, and rapid PoCs as needed.
• Raise blockers early rather than work around them.
• Contribute reusable patterns, prompts, and evaluation harnesses back to the team.
