Job summary

Nidec's Applications Engineering team in St. Louis hires an Applications Engineer I to translate electrical and mechanical motor designs into scalable production solutions.

You will support project timelines, cost targets, and product success while collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. You'll develop specifications, perform analyses, run tests, and help transfer designs into production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience, preferably in electric motors or manufacturing.
• Internship or co-op in engineering/manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product designs into production solutions.
• Provide technical support to meet project timelines and cost targets.
• Conduct design analysis, testing, validation, and production launches.
• Develop BOMs and technical drawings, and create test reports.
• Support new product launches and transfer designs to production.
