Job summary

Mispro Biotech Services Corporation is hiring an Animal Care Technician I for our Cambridge, MA site. This junior-level role focuses on daily animal care, husbandry and facility maintenance in a compliant, team-oriented environment.

You will perform cage changes, routine welfare checks on predominantly rodent species, assist with sanitation, waste management and supplies, and report any deviations to supervision. Weekend and after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of commitments/responsibilities in general animal care.
• Exposure/familiarity with research environments preferred.
• High school degree required;2-year degree in science desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily animal care and welfare for laboratory rodents.
• Maintain cages and perform routine husbandry and wellness checks.
• Assist with facility sanitation and waste management.
• Support client updates on animal conditions and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with AAALAC, EPA, USDA and QA protocols.
