Job summary

Planet Pharma in Wilmington, MA seeks an Animal Care Associate for the GEMS Breed Group. The role supports health, production, and environment management of animals housed at our facilities, including isolators or IVC systems. You will learn SOPs and maintain accurate data in ICM under supervision.

You will perform entry-level husbandry, feed and water animals, monitor health, and help with transfers or genotyping as needed. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills to use a tablet and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work with diverse cultures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with feeding, bedding, water, and enrichment.
• Maintain rat and mouse colonies, matings and sample collection.
• Handle rodents for health monitoring and identification tagging.
• Record data accurately in ICM and follow SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare and safety procedures.
