American Credit Acceptance, LLC in Spartanburg, SC, is looking for an entry-level Software Engineer to work on AI-assisted coding projects. You will help steer AI-generated code to be correct, secure, and performant, partnering with business teams to translate needs into precise prompts and acceptance criteria.

The role is part-time and onsite, with a focus on learning the business and applying prompt engineering and QA practices to deliver reliable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or in final year (2025–2026 graduates strongly encouraged).
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or projects count).
• Ability to quickly read, understand, and debug C#/.NET code.
• Experience with AI coding assistants preferred.
• Working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, EF Core, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, Git and PR workflows.

Responsabilités

• Learn our business through extensive training and build foundational knowledge.
• Identify, understand, and solve business problems using AI-generated solutions.
• Prompt, review, debug, and validate AI-generated code with minimal supervision.
• Prompt and iterate with AI coding tools to produce high-quality solutions.
• Perform code reviews on AI-generated and human-written pull requests.
• Maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Identify issues in AI output and fix or re-prompt as needed.
• Iterate with business partners to ensure solutions address real problems.
