Job summary

American Credit Acceptance, LLC is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer graduate from Fall 2026 to Summer 2027 who will join as a full-time engineer in 2027. The role focuses on applying AI tools for code generation, reviews, security scanning, and testing, ensuring AI outputs are correct, secure, and performant.

You will work in a team or independently, gaining extensive business knowledge and helping IT with internal AI-powered solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
0–2 years of professional experience (internships/counts).
Ability to read, understand, and debug C#/.NET code.
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Working knowledge of Git and PR workflows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Able to explain technical work clearly to engineers and business partners.

Responsibilities

Promptly turn business requirements into precise prompts and acceptance criteria.
Prompt, review, debug, and validate AI-generated code with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with business partners to understand problems and requirements.
Review AI-generated and human-written code for correctness, security, and performance.
Maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Iterate with stakeholders to ensure solutions solve the intended problem.
