Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Junior AI Developer to design, build, and support AI-powered applications that boost business efficiency and enhance user experiences across the organization.

You will work with business stakeholders, software engineers, and AI practitioners to create intelligent applications, copilots, and conversational AI experiences using Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and Azure AI tools. This role is ideal for an early-career developer eager to gain hands-on production experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Software Development, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
• 1+ year of experience in software development, application development, automation, or a related technical role.
• Experience working with REST APIs, data integrations, and modern development frameworks.
• Basic understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern software development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for learning emerging technologies and applying them to solve business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered applications, copilots, chatbots, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Build and enhance solutions utilizing Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Develop integrations with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and cloud services.
• Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate AI use cases and accelerate innovation.
• Participate in application testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization.
• Collaborate with senior developers and architects to deliver scalable, secure AI solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven process improvements.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and functional AI solutions.
