Job summary

RTX invites qualified candidates to join the Test Solutions Engineering team. You will design, analyze, prototype, and implement high‑reliability mechanical test fixtures and environmental stations for weapon systems across their lifecycle.

Requirements include a STEM bachelor’s degree and hands‑on experience with parametric CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, CATIA or NX). Relocation eligible; CONUS travel may be required; U.S. citizenship or a transferable clearance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM disciplines required.
• Experience using parametric CAD to create 3D models and drawings.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, CATIA or NX.
• Experience in mechanical design through coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, and design custom mechanical test solutions for vibration, thermal, RF, and electro-optical environments.
• Conceptualize and implement mechanical systems that integrate with state-of-the-art test technologies.
• Create 3D CAD assemblies and detailed 2D drawings.
• Ensure all technical data packages meet drafting standards (ASME Y14.5).
• Integrate and validate test systems against accuracy, repeatability, and reliability requirements.
