ABT Insurance Services in Duluth, GA is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, including client policy payments and carrier payments. The role requires strong Excel skills, organization, and accuracy.

The candidate will reconcile accounts, prepare agent commission calculations for review, and assist with month-end closings. Insurance agency experience is a plus; this is a full-time, in-person position in Duluth, GA.

Competenze

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Insurance agency accounting experience is a plus.

Mansioni

• Process accounts receivable and payable including client policy payments and carrier premium payments.
• Monitor outstanding client balances and coordinate follow-up with agents and clients.
• Review daily sales transactions to ensure payments are recorded with required supporting documentation.
• Identify missing payments and discrepancies; follow up with the responsible agent.
• Reconcile bank accounts, carrier statements, and commission receipts.
• Calculate and reconcile commissions payable to agents, including adjustments.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping entries and organized financial records.
• Assist with month-end closing and routine accounting reports.
• Support quarterly bookkeeping reviews and provide records requested by management.
