Impact Performance Team in Miami, FL is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the Accounting Department with daily bookkeeping, deposit processing, and cash reconciliations. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and exposure to multiple payment types, including EPAY batches, wires, ACH, and checks.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, have 1–3 years of accounting experience, be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and be able to work on-site in Miami.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 1–3 years of work experience in accounting.
• Insurance industry experience is a bonus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, esp. Excel.

Responsibilities

• Processing incoming premium payments from clients and vendors
• Performing reconciliations, updating accounts receivable, and issuing invoices
• Processing financial entries to ensure proper recording of all transactions
• Updating financial data in databases to ensure accuracy
• Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports

Role Overview

The Junior Accountant role is an entry-level position that supports our agency's Accounting Department. This individual will have responsibility for daily bookkeeping, with an emphasis on deposit processing. The role supports the agency’s financial operations by recording and reconciling incoming funds across various payment types (EPAY batches, wires, ACH payments, physical checks) and assisting to keep accounts balanced and accurate. Hands‑on training will be provided as needed. Your key responsibilities may include:

• Processing incoming premium payments from clients and vendors
• Performing reconciliations, updating accounts receivable, and issuing invoices
• Processing financial entries to ensure a proper recording of all business transactions
• Updating financial data in databases to ensure the accuracy of the information
• Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years work experience in Accounting
• Insurance industry experience is a bonus
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel
• Must be able to work on-site in Miami, FL
