Job summary

AgeSpan is looking for a Junior Accountant in Lawrence, Massachusetts to support the finance department by ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and assisting with audits. The role includes preparing journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, and supporting month-end processes.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, two years of accounting experience, and proficiency with automated accounting systems like Sage Intacct.

Compensation is between $33 - $35 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with automated accounting systems required.
• Non-profit financial administration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter journal entries.
• Perform general ledger account analyses and reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end closing processes.
• Prepare and distribute periodic financial reports.
• Interact professionally with auditors and banking personnel.
