Job summary

Grasslands Club today seeks a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. You will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial recordkeeping, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounting or accounts payable experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting or accounts payable experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable functions using accounting software.
• Process invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.
• Review invoices against statements to verify accuracy.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Reconcile prepaid expenses and accrual accounts on a monthly basis.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support inventory tracking for Food & Beverage, Pro Shop, and special orders.
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Manage accounts payable functions using accounting software
• Process invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors
• Handle accounts payable for multiple entities and vendors
• Review invoices against statements to verify accuracy
• Ensure proper coding and posting of expenses
• Reconcile corporate credit card transactions
• Maintain strong relationships with new and existing vendors
• Process daily, weekly, and monthly vendor payments
• Perform account maintenance, transaction processing, and reconciliations

Accounting & Financial Support

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Reconcile prepaid expenses and accrual accounts on a monthly basis
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Support inventory tracking for Food & Beverage, Pro Shop, and special orders
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
