IMS Integrated Merchandising Solutions seeks an Accountant for Skokie, IL to deliver accurate accounting, reporting and analysis for our client reporting team. You will work closely with cross-functional groups to support month-end processes and audit compliance.

The role emphasizes strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and ongoing professional growth within a collaborative finance environment in North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Strong organizational skills, problem-solving, with excellent communication skills
• Strong Excel skillset is an absolute must (Pivot table creation, VLOOKUP, If/then formulas, etc)
• General ease learning new systems and tools
• Experience with ERP i.e., JD Edwards/AS 400 queries
• Relevant internship experience and/ or 1+ years of work experience considered

Responsibilities

• Support accurate and timely month end general accounting close and reporting process execution
• Prepare month end journal entries
• Reconcile weekly freight invoices
• Prepare accounting transactions
• Query large amounts of data from ERP system and extract relevant data points needed to prepare reports for internal and/or client
• Support and provide quality documentation on IMS policy and audit control compliance
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Develop and maintain positive partnerships within finance and cross functional teams
• Ask questions and seek out opportunities to grow professionally
