What You'll Actually Do
- Daily Operations: Record and reconcile daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
- Financial Preparation: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Month-End Close: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Cost Accounting: Support inventory costing, cycle counts, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold calculations.
- Compliance & Audit: Reconcile bank statements, maintain fixed asset records, and support internal and external audits.
The Must-Haves
- Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience; foundational knowledge of cost accounting, financial accounting, and manufacturing operations.
- Experience: 0-2 years of related accounting experience, including internships, with exposure to AP/AR processing, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications; strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; fluency in written and spoken English.
- Bonus: Experience with SAP or another ERP system, prior accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, exposure to inventory costing/variance analysis, progress toward CPA certification, or familiarity with fixed asset accounting.
