The position oversees daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, reporting on costs associated with manufacturing and internal controls. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supports audits, and executing timely and compliant financial processes. The position works closely with the finance leadership team and provides guidance on accounting policies and best practices.
Essential Functions
- Manage the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Monitor internal controls and identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with operations and other departments on financial matters
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead
- Maintain standard costs and update them periodically based on actual performance
- Support the month-end close process through cost variance analysis and journal entries
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling to support business planning
- Analyze inventory valuations and reconcile with general ledger accounts
- Support internal and external audits with cost-related documentation and analysis

Expected Hours of Work
Monday through Friday, standard business hours. Additional hours may be required during the month-end and budget cycles

Required Education and Exp erience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, or accounting, preferably in a manufacturing enviroment
Preferred Education and Ex
- Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
