Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is offering a paid Management & Sales Internship for 10-12 weeks this summer, providing hands-on experience in our retail stores and with field sales. Interns travel with a Sales Representative and work closely with the management team to gain insight into store operations, customer experiences, and business issues.

Participants complete a cross-functional project and are encouraged to apply to the Management and Sales Training Program (MTP) after successful completion.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Need to be enrolled in a college or university at internship start.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: ability to read/write in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional customer service in-store and over the phone.
• Assist with sales, product displays and merchandising to meet customer needs.
• Develop knowledge of store merchandise to answer inquiries.
• Support inventory management and visual merchandising efforts.
• Assist with POS transactions and store operations tasks.
• Help with unloading deliveries and organizing stockrooms.
• Participate in required training and comply with policies and loss prevention.
• Collaborate with teammates on shared tasks and resolve simple issues.
• Work on a team-based project addressing a real business challenge.
