Job summary

The Third Judicial District Court in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Judicial Specialist II to support case processing and court operations. Under supervision, you will open, docket, and close cases, receipt fees, and provide customer service to the public.

Knowledge of case management systems is beneficial; Spanish skills are preferred but not required. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Las Cruces, NM with background checks for finalists.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a court environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Open, docket, and close cases using the case management system.
• Provide customer service to pro se litigants with procedural information.
• Receipt and reconcile court fines and fees; manage cash handling procedures.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Typing certification (35 wpm)

Two years experience in court case processing or related field

NM Court Monitor Certification (may be required)
