Job summary

The Judicial Services Specialist (S) position is with the State of North Carolina - Adult Correction, Division of Community Supervision. The role focuses on supervising staff, managing court-related processes, and ensuring accurate case assignments and data entry into OPUS/CSAS/ICOTS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, human services, psychology or related field and 1 year of related experience.
• Or Associate's degree with 3 years of related experience.
• Or High school diploma with 5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee intake and supervision of probation and community service cases.
• Review and approve staff work within the unit and ensure timely processing of cases.
• Interview offenders and enter data into OPUS/CSAS/ICOTS; assign offenders for supervision.
• Determine interpreter needs and ADA accommodations for offenders.
• Coordinate intrastate and interstate transfers and adjust schedules to meet court demands.
• Perform staff performance appraisals and plan day-to-day operations.
