PA Courts in Washington County is seeking a Law Clerk to support Judges by conducting legal research, drafting opinions and orders, and preparing briefs. You will attend hearings, organize schedules, and communicate with attorneys and the public.

Minimum requirements include a law degree from an accredited school; admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is preferred. The position offers healthcare coverage, paid time off, and retirement benefits. Salary information: $65,849.50.

Formación

• A law degree from an accredited institution is required; PA bar admission preferred.
• Strong research and writing skills; ability to draft opinions and orders.

Responsabilidades

• Research legal topics and draft opinions, orders, and correspondence.
• Attend court proceedings: hearings, trials, motions, and pleas as requested by the Judge.
• Complete sentencing forms as required by the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing.
• Organize and maintain the case list, briefing and argument schedules.
• Communicate with the public and attorneys by phone or in person.
• Attend conferences with the Judge, attorneys, and litigants.
• Attend educational sessions for civil, criminal, family court, orphans court updates.
