Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Admission to the Pennsylvania bar is preferred.

• Attend court proceedings, hearings, trials, and routine motions as requested by the Judge.
• Prepare correspondence and assist with writing briefs and related materials.

The Judicial Law Clerk work involves providing members of the judiciary with assistance in preparation of writing briefs, opinions and similar material.Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, unofficial transcript, and writing sample.Job DutiesResearch legal topics and drafts opinions and orders, as well as correspondence.Attend Court proceedings, including hearings, trials, routine motions, and pleas, as requested by the Judge.Completes sentencing forms as required by the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing.Organize, schedule, and maintain the case list, briefing and argument schedules.Communicate with the public and attorneys, by telephone or in person.Attend conferences with the Judge, attorney and litigants.Attend educational sessions for civil, criminal, family court, orphans court updates.Minimum RequirementsA law degree from an accredited institution is required, and admission to the Pennsylvania bar is preferred.BenefitsHealthcare coveragePaid time offRetirementSalary informationSalary Information: $65,849.50
