We are seeking a Judicial Assistant to join the team in Middlebury, Vermont. The Judicial Assistant provides specialized customer support, clerical, and data entry services within one or more court docket areas. This moderately complex role requires strong computer skills and the ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment with both co-workers and the public.
The ideal candidate has administrative, clerical, and customer service experience and is motivated to support equal access to justice by upholding the rule of law.This is a full-time, permanent opening in Middlebury, Vermont and is not a remote/ hybrid position.
Scheduled hours of work generally conform to public court hours, but assignments may extend beyond those hours. Occasional travel to other courts within the State of Vermont may be required. Travel will be reimbursed according to State policies. This position will be eligible for longevity increases in accordance with the State step pay plan and annual cost of living increases as enacted by the Vermont State Legislature. Job Code # 26032
