Jenks Trojan Gymnastics Class Instructor is a temporary, community education role within Jenks Public Schools. The instructor will provide quality gymnastics instruction, manage effective class sessions, ensure safety, and serve as an ambassador for the program.

Requires a high school diploma; gymnastics, cheer, or tumbling experience preferred; strong communication with students, parents, and staff; background checks and district requirements apply.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • Experience in gymnastics, cheer or tumbling preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all age levels, parents and the community.
  • Meet district health, citizenship and background check requirements.
  • Board may set additional acceptable qualifications.

Position: Jenks Trojan Gymnastics Class Instructor

Reports To: J enks Trojan Gymnastics Coordinator

Supervises: None

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma required.
  • Previous gymnastics, cheer or tumbling experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all age levels, parents and the community.
  • Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health, citizenship and background check.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal: To provide quality gymnastics instruction to all patrons.

Performance Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of gymnastics skills, leadership, organization and teamwork.
  • Creates an environment that is conducive to learning gymnastics skills.
  • Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior.
  • Assists with the oversight for the safety conditions, including of the facility, at all times during sessions.
  • Models positive and professional support with students and staff.
  • Exhibits strong core values, including respect, trust, and honesty.
  • Serves as gymnastics class instructor and ambassador for the program.
  • Maintains an up-to-date list and attendance of participants.
  • Prepares and submits necessary evaluations.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Employment Terms: Community Education Classified - Temporary Contract

FLSA Qualification: Non-Exempt

Physical Demands:

Occasional Requirements: Reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 75 pounds.

Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information.
