Job summary

Jenks Trojan Gymnastics Class Instructor is a temporary, community education role within Jenks Public Schools. The instructor will provide quality gymnastics instruction, manage effective class sessions, ensure safety, and serve as an ambassador for the program.

Requires a high school diploma; gymnastics, cheer, or tumbling experience preferred; strong communication with students, parents, and staff; background checks and district requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Experience in gymnastics, cheer or tumbling preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all age levels, parents and the community.
• Meet district health, citizenship and background check requirements.
• Board may set additional acceptable qualifications.

• Demonstrates knowledge of gymnastics skills, leadership and teamwork.
• Creates an environment conducive to learning gymnastics skills.
• Maintains standards of student behavior.
• Oversee safety conditions during sessions.
• Models positive, professional behavior with students and staff.
• Uphold core values: respect, trust and honesty.
• Serve as gymnastics class instructor and ambassador for the program.
• Maintain attendance lists and participant records.
• Prepare and submit evaluations as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
