Responsibilities

• Open-source intelligence monitoring and incident updates; produce intel
• Lead the team during incidents and be main contact when supervisor is off
• Oversee operations and quality assurance of alerts to clients
• Coordinate and conduct regular shift trainings
• Lead day-to-day operations for assigned shift
• Enforce policies and procedures and maintain records
• Back-fill Watch Commander and support JSOC FTE Manager as needed
• Identify and mitigate incidents impacting people, assets, or reputation
• Communicate incident details to leadership and stakeholders
• Prepare and review incident reports
• Support JSOC specialists and operators during crises and non-crises; monitor cameras/alarms; dispatch calls; operate access-control
• Ensure operational readiness for incident response

About the role:

The JSOC Supervisor is a front-line leader who directly oversees and coordinates the delivery of quality services within their assigned JSOC team. The JSOC Supervisor monitors and manages the performance and actions of JSOC Operators. They are a subject matter expert with significant experience as an operator. They act as a liaison between the JSOC management and analysts/operators. They provide coaching, recognition, and discipline within their assigned team.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

• Open-source Intelligence Monitoring: Threats and Person of Interest research and updates, Creation of Intelligence products
• Incident Management: Leads the team during ongoing incidents, if there isn’t a supervisor on duty
• Oversees Operations: Is the main point of contact if there isn’t a supervisor on duty
• Quality Assurance: Checks and approves incident alerts/products prior to sending to the client
• Training: Coordinates and conducts daily/weekly/monthly training on their shift
• Lead day-to-day operations for their assigned shift and within their assigned JSOC team.
• Oversee the implementation and application of policies and procedures
• Maintain current record-keeping in support of the Watch Commander.
• Be prepared to back-fill and support the Watch Commander and/or JSOC FTE Manager when needed.
• Responsible for using best practices to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are either impactful or potentially impactful to the people, assets, and reputation of the client.
• Use best practices for communicating information surrounding incidents to appropriate leadership and stakeholders.
• Produce and review Incident Reports.
• Support, supervise, and assist JSOC Specialists and operators as they prepare for, respond to, and recover from both crisis and non-crisis incidents; monitor cameras and alarms; dispatch associated calls via telephone and radio; operate access-control technology; and provide general assistance to employees and guests.
• Supports leadership during critical incidents
• Ensures operational readiness for incident response

Qualifications: As a candidate you must have:

• 1-3 years of experience in leading a team.
• 3-5 years of experience in corporate security or a GSOC/JSOC environment.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in and define ambiguity/gray areas.
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills with a strong ability to work in a team environment.
• Able to work under stressful conditions and adhere to tight deadlines
• Able to manage multiple streams of work in a fast-paced environment.
• Above average in computer applications, general understanding of security systems, and general technical aptitude through demonstrated experience.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Think through problems for logical solutions and remain calm and professional under stress.
• Strong decision-making ability during both crisis and non-crisis situations.

• Must be able to speak clearly, give directions, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies.
