Job summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct regular shift training (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Lead day-to-day operations for the assigned shift and JSOC team.
• Maintain current records supporting the Watch Commander.
• Back-fill Watch Commander or JSOC FTE Manager when needed.

About the role:The JSOC Supervisor is a front-line leader who directly oversees and coordinates the delivery of quality services within their assigned JSOC team. The JSOC Supervisor monitors and manages the performance and actions of JSOC Operators. They are a subject matter expert with significant experience as an operator. They act as a liaison between the JSOC management and analysts/operators. They provide coaching, recognition, and discipline within their assigned team.In this role, your responsibilities will be:Open-source Intelligence Monitoring: Threats and Person of Interest research and updates, Creation of Intelligence productsIncident Management: Leads the team during ongoing incidents, if there isn’t a supervisor on dutyOversees Operations: Is the main point of contact if there isn’t a supervisor on dutyQuality Assurance: Checks and approves incident alerts/products prior to sending to the clientTraining: Coordinates and conducts daily/weekly/monthly training on their shiftLead day-to-day operations for their assigned shift and within their assigned JSOC team.Oversee the implementation and application of policies and proceduresMaintain current record-keeping in support of the Watch Commander.Be prepared to back-fill and support the Watch Commander and/or JSOC FTE Manager when needed.Responsible for using best practices to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are either impactful or potentially impactful to the people, assets, and reputation of the client.Use best practices for communicating information surrounding incidents to appropriate leadership and stakeholders.Produce and review Incident Reports.Support, supervise, and assist JSOC Specialists and operators as they prepare for, respond to, and recover from both crisis and non-crisis incidents; monitor cameras and alarms; dispatch associated calls via telephone and radio; operate access-control technology; and provide general assistance to employees and guests.Supports leadership during critical incidentsEnsures operational readiness for incident responseAs a candidate you must have:1-3 years of experience in leading a team.3-5 years of experience in corporate security or a GSOC/JSOC environment.Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Able to work in and define ambiguity/gray areas.Strong interpersonal and networking skills with a strong ability to work in a team environment.Able to work under stressful conditions and adhere to tight deadlinesAble to manage multiple streams of work in a fast-paced environment.Above average in computer applications, general understanding of security systems, and general technical aptitude through demonstrated experience.Excellent verbal and communication skills.Think through problems for logical solutions and remain calm and professional under stress.Strong decision-making ability during both crisis and non-crisis situations.Able to work with highly confidential information.Must be able to speak clearly, give directions, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies.Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of leadershipAble to analyze threats for real-time impact on the client operations, with the ability to develop and direct mitigation strategiesMust complete and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as client-requested certifications; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise notedWe offer:• $89,895.10 Annual Salary• Health, Dental, Vision, and 401k for eligible employees• Paid Time Off including Sick/Safe Time• A dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunity for growthSecurity Industry Specialists, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
