Job summary

Rycon Construction is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent - Punch Foreman to lead a crew on multifamily and mixed-use projects from our Louisville office. The role focuses on hands-on leadership, safety enforcement, and coordinating with Superintendents to meet project schedules and turnover deadlines.

You will manage field operations, read drawings, and mentor crew members while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial or residential construction.
• Experience leading crews in a Working Foreman or Lead role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong safety knowledge and OSHA regulations enforcement on site.
• Willingness to be hands-on and perform field labor as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a construction crew to meet daily and weekly schedules.
• Perform hands-on trade work while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity.
• Plan, assign, and coordinate tasks with the Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Direct punch list and project closeout activities with owners, architects, and stakeholders.
• Verify punch list completion and ensure turnover readiness.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent - Punch Foreman based out of our Louisville office location.

Whatyou willdo:

• - Lead and work alongside a construction crew to execute daily job site activities.
• - Perform hands‑on trade work while supervising crew productivity, quality, and safety.
• - Plan and assign daily and weekly tasks to meet project schedule requirements.
• - Coordinate closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager on workflow, staffing, and site needs.
• - Serve as the primary point of contact for crew‑level communication.
• - Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations through daily safety meetings and job hazard awareness.
• - Identify and resolve field issues early to prevent delays or rework.
• - Monitor work quality to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and company standards.
• - Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring crew members.
• - Track material usage and request tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• - Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas.
• - Assist with daily reporting, time tracking, and documentation.
• - Communicate field conditions, changes, and potential issues to site leadership.
• - Lead multifamily punch list and project closeout activities, including coordinating punch walks with owners, architects, and project stakeholders.
• - Direct subcontractors and punch crews to complete outstanding work, resolve deficiencies, and meet project turnover schedules.
• - Verify punch list completion, track progress, and ensure all work meets quality standards prior to final owner acceptance and project turnover.

What you will need to be successful:

• - 5+ years of experience in commercial or residential construction
• - Prior experience leading crews in a Working Foreman or Lead role
• - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
• - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• - Solid understanding of job site safety practices and OSHA regulations
• - Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• - Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• - Willingness to be hands‑on and actively work in the field
• - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor for extended periods
• - OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
• - Trade certification or apprenticeship completion preferred
• - Familiarity with construction field reporting tools or software a plus
