Rycon Construction, an ESOP and ENR Top 400 contractor, seeks an experienced Safety Coordinator for its Fort Lauderdale office. The role focuses on developing a strong safety culture, conducting on-site inspections, and delivering training aligned with OSHA requirements.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years in construction safety, a safety-related degree preferred, and the ability to travel overnight. Bilingual candidates are welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• College degree in a safety-related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Construction Safety.
• Ability to travel overnight as needed.
• Bilingual is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Work with office leadership to develop and reinforce safety culture on projects.
• Perform safety inspections and audits on job sites.
• Conduct in-person and virtual safety trainings and orientations.
• Safety pre-planning and lookaheads with Operations/Estimating teams.
• Participate in project meetings to align safety with project goals.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with OSHA regulations and training requirements.
• Draft project-specific safety plans and update as needed.
• Develop and implement new safety training programs.

We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator in our Fort Lauderdale office.

Whatyou willdo:

• Working hand in hand with office leadershipto helpfurther develop the safety culture.
• Performing safety inspections/audits on project sites.
• Conducting both in person and virtual safety training and orientation.
• Safety pre-planning and lookaheads with our Operations/Estimating teams.
• Participation in project meetings.
• Ensuring Subcontractors compliance with OSHA regulations and training requirements.
• Authoring project specific safety plans.
• Developing and implementing new training programs.
