OH Virtual Academy (OHVA), a Stride K12 partner, seeks a Middle School Intervention Specialist (grades 6-8) for a full-time remote role. You will adapt the K12 curriculum to student needs, write IEPs, and collaborate with general education teachers and families to support literacy, math, and communication skills.
Start date is August 2026. The position requires travel up to 20% and the ability to obtain Ohio Certification.
Certificate and License: State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License
Residency Requirement: Prefer Ohio residents.
Will consider applicants from a surrounding state to Ohio within one hundred miles from the Ohio border.
Border states include Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana.
Applicants must be able to meet travel requirements and be willing and able to obtain Ohio Certification.

This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.
The Middle School Intervention Specialist Grades 6-8 works with students who have a wide range of learning, mental, emotional and physical disabilities to ensure that lessons and teaching strategies meet the students' needs, teach independent living skills, and provide appropriate literacy, communication, and math skills.
