Job summary

Valor Environmental is seeking a Jr. Field Manager for construction and landscaping duties in Hardeeville, SC. You will lead daily crew activities, coordinate materials, ensure safety, and communicate with clients on site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Leads all crew work for the day’s events, including site travel, materials management, quality control, inspections, and safety communications.
• Interacts with clients on site to assure work is completed to spec.
• Crew leader reinforces company culture (attire, communication, work ethic, safety, attitude).
• Ensures job materials are well kept, maintained, and utilized without waste.
• Operates heavy equipment (trencher, skid steer, bobcat, backhoe, sweeper) and truck/trailer safely and in accordance with laws.
• Demonstrates organization and electronic usage capability (phone, computers).
• Crew leader completes required paperwork and submissions accurately and timely.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Pay rate: $23.00-$26.00 plus overtime

Job Responsibilities

• Leads all efforts of crew work for the day’s events (driving to site, management of materials, quality of work, sign off on inspection reports, communication in field, care of materials and tools, managing overtime, illustrating safety measures, etc.)
• Interacts with clients on site to assure work is done
• Crew leader reinforces company culture with crew (attire, communication, work ethic, safety, and attitude)
• Assures that job materials are well kept, maintained and utilized without waste
• Operates heavy equipment (trencher, skid steer, bobcat, backhoe, sweeper) and truck/trailer safely. Abides by all applicable laws/regulations.
• Demonstrates organization and electronic usage capability (i.e. using phone, computers, etc.)

• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous construction or landscaping leadership experience
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to physically work outdoors in all types of weather
• Must be able to work weekends and extended hours as needed
• Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday.
