Responsibilities

• Process journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records for multiple entities.
• Record and verify daily financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data across all assigned business units.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve intercompany items and support consolidated financial reporting.
• Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and customer billings.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable aging reports.
• Prepare account reconciliations, analyses, and supporting schedules.

Position Summary

Securiport is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Junior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. This role will support the day-to-day accounting functions for multiple entities across various international locations. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish and possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Responsibilities include managing financial transactions, performing account reconciliations, supporting month-end close activities, and assisting with financial reporting while collaborating with Spanish-speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records for multiple assigned entities.
• Record and verify daily financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data across all assigned business units.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ensure supporting documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
• Reconcile intercompany balances, transactions, and chargebacks across multiple international entities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve outstanding intercompany items and support consolidated financial reporting.
• Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and customer billings.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable aging reports.
• Follow up with vendors and customers regarding outstanding payments and account inquiries.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Spanish-speaking vendors, customers, and business partners.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare account reconciliations, analyses, and supporting schedules.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Gather documentation and schedules required for internal and external audits.
• Ensure accounting records comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Assist in maintaining financial controls and supporting compliance initiatives.
• Maintain accurate financial records, databases, and electronic filing systems.
• Update accounting and ERP systems as needed.
• Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support business and management needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accounting and finance operations across international locations.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Relevant internship experience in accounting or finance will also be considered.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required (written and verbal).
• Ability to communicate professionally with international stakeholders and Spanish-speaking business partners.
• Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Basic knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and cultures.
• CPA designation preferred.
