Austin Industrial in Lake Charles, LA, seeks a skilled Welder/Journeyman to join our metal fabrication team. You will weld and assemble parts per layout and blueprints using torch, arc, and other welding equipment, and coordinate with crane operators for moving large pieces.

Requirements include 3–5 years of Journeyman welding experience, Weld Test certification, and TWIC and a valid DL. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer with sustained opportunities on major industrial projects.

Aufgaben

• Weld or tack weld pieces using spot, electric, or gas welding equipment.
• Unite pipes to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas and manage valves.
• Preheat pieces and prepare for welding or curving with a torch.
• Inspect finished work pieces for strength and meet specifications.
• Operate lifting equipment and assist crane operator as needed.
• Follow safety and quality requirements and work with team.
