Responsibilities

• Unite pipes from torch to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas and operate valves.
• Preheat work pieces and prepare for welding or forming processes.
• Inspect welds for specifications using straightedge or templates.
• Signal crane operators and position work pieces for welding.
• Use cutting equipment to dismount assemblies or trim scrap metal.
• Follow safety procedures and assist with other duties as assigned.
