Austin Industrial is seeking an experienced welder to join our on-site operations in Baton Rouge. You will perform welding, cutting, and assembly tasks across diverse metal components for industrial customers.

The role requires a valid Weld Test, Driver's License, and TWIC card, with responsibilities including pipe and plate welding, torch preheating, and precise measurements to meet specifications. This is a full-time, on-site position with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• 4 years of journeyman-level experience required.
• Weld Test certification required; valid driver's license and TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Weld or tack weld parts using spot welding gun and other welding equipment.
• Unite pipes from torch to tanks and operate valves to control gas flow.
• Preheat pieces and prepare surfaces for welding and shaping.
• Inspect pieces with straightedge or templates to ensure specifications are met.
• Signal crane operator and assist with positioning large work pieces.
• Use flame-cutting and plasma-arc equipment to disassemble or cut metal as needed.
