Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Welding certifications required: Weld Test, TWIC and DL.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Welds or tack welds pieces using spot welding gun or hand, electric, or gas welding equipment.
• Unites pipes from torch to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas and operates valves.
• Preheats work pieces and prepares for welding or shaping as required.
• Checks pieces with straightedge or template to ensure specifications.
• Operates hoists/cranes and other equipment to position work pieces.
