Job summary

Stellar Energy Americas Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a skilled welder to capably perform welding on structural plate and large industrial piping in all positions.

The role requires reading WPS/PQRs, setting up machines, and delivering quality workmanship on demanding projects. You will work in a fabrication facility with safety as a priority, operate cranes or forklifts, and participate in ISO 9001 readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience welding large industrial pipe.
• Experience in threading, grinding, brazing, rigging, plasma cutting, gas arc cutting
• Fluent in understanding job specific WPS / PQR’s and capable of setting machine up for performance in all positions to certify testing criteria
• Ability to work in confined spaces and wear protective gear for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-conscious mindset
• Good physical condition; able to lift heavy materials and work in various positions

Responsibilities

• Setting up machine per WPS/PQRs and meet certification criteria.
• Analyze blueprints for welding insignia and assemble components on piping and structural systems.
• Prepare metal surfaces for welding per job requirements.
• Inspect pre- and post-welded surfaces with precision measuring tools.
• Identify insufficient weld criteria and perform repairs.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Follow safety regulations and wear PPE.
• Assist ISO 9001 audits preparations
