Job summary

Stellar Energy is seeking a 1st Class Welder to join our Jacksonville, FL facility. You will perform welding in all positions on structural plate and 6G pipe using SMAW, FCAW and GTAW, while remaining compliant with ISO 9001 and safety standards.

The role requires blueprint interpretation, machine setup, and quality-focused workmanship. This full-time, non-exempt position involves normal shifts with potential overtime and local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and applying weld symbols.
• Basic math and language skills required.
• Related experience or training in welding operations.
• 6+ years welding SMAW, FCAW, GTAW or a mix.
• 2 years of vocational/technical training in welding or related field.

Responsibilities

• Capable of performing welding in all positions on structural plate and 6G pipe.
• Set up welding machines to certified criteria.
• Analyze blueprints for welding insignia and apply to assemblies.
• Identify, measure, and prepare metal surfaces for welding.
• Visually inspect welds and interpret welding criteria with precision tools.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed.
• Maintain safety and quality per OSHA and ISO standards.
• Assist with audits and comply with company policies.
