Job summary

The Walsh Group in Apache Junction, Arizona is seeking a Journeyman Water Pipefitter for the Water Mountain West/Apache Junction Sewer District WRF Expansion project in Apache Junction. The Pipefitter will assemble, install, and replace pipe systems and related components using metal, plastic, ceramic, and composite materials.

Responsibilities include installing piping systems, vacuum piping, and drainage lines around buildings, and supporting plumbers and other trades.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years verifiable piping experience preferred.
• Experience with piping systems and fixtures; knowledge of lengths and construction measurements.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied weather conditions.
• Compliance with safety policies; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods; pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and installs piping and tubing systems to conduct water, steam, air and other fluids.
• Installs vacuum piping systems, drainage and sewer lines from buildings to the point of attachment.
• Moves materials and equipment for use by plumbers, pipefitters and steamfitters.
