Harper-Electric in Austin, TX is seeking a Journeyman Service Electrician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems across commercial and industrial projects. You’ll diagnose issues, complete service calls, and work directly with customers to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Licensed Journeyman Electrician (TDLR license required).
• Proven experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Excellent troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit with the flexibility to work long shifts and occasional overnights.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues quickly and effectively.
• Install electrical safety and distribution components (e.g., disconnects, breaker panels, transformers).
• Perform raceway, wiring, lighting fixture, and control system installations.
• Maintain and service electrical infrastructure, including EMS and building systems.
• Complete and manage daily work orders while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Follow all safety standards, electrical codes, and company guidelines.
