Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Journeyman Scaffold Builder to join our safety‑driven team in the United States. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of industrial scaffold experience and will determine scaffold type, inspect equipment, and erect and dismantle scaffolding following OSHA and site requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: no minimum education requirements.
• Experience: 3-5 years in an industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Must be a Journeyman Scaffold Builder with a minimum of 3-years or more of experience.
• Determines type of scaffold needed.
• Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
• Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
• Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the dimensions required.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structure.
• Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
• Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
• Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
• Dismantles scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
• Inspect and properly stow scaffolding material after dismantling.
• Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment.
