Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Scaffold Builder Journeyman to construct, assemble, maintain and dismantle tubular scaffolding and temporary structures. A minimum of 3 years in the scaffolding craft is required, along with a high school diploma and lubrication technician certification.

The role requires safe handling, clear communication, and adherence to OSHA and company standards. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the scaffolding craft.
• High School diploma with certification as a lubrication technician.
• Must be able to read, write and understand safety instructions.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Determine type of scaffold needed.
• Inspect site and scaffold materials for defects and hazards.
• Communicate safety hazards and mitigate risks.
• Transport and erect scaffold to required dimensions.
• Hoist scaffolding materials as needed.
• Secure and level locking sections of scaffolding.
• Secure scaffold to permanent structures.
• Follow OSHA and Austin Industrial requirements.
• Perform final inspection of scaffolding.
• Dismantle scaffolding when told to do so.
• Inspect and stow material after dismantling.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
