Job summary

MasTec’s CEI group seeks a skilled pipefitter to lay out, fabricate, install and maintain piping systems for industrial facilities. The role emphasizes safety, precise pipe selection, cutting, threading and joining various pipe materials, plus system testing and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
• When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
• Set a personal example of safe behavior.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Select type and size of pipe according to job specs.
• Inspect the worksite for obstructions and structural concerns.
• Plan installation sequence to avoid conflicts with other crews.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipe using available tools.
• Install and join various pipe materials and fittings.
• Test piping systems for leaks and integrity.
• Travel to different jobsites as required.
