Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Sulphur, LA is seeking a Journeyman with 3+ years of field experience to install and align machinery per layouts and drawings. You will read blueprints, assemble equipment, and maintain tools safely on site.

Responsibilities include dismantling, transporting, and installing components; operating lathes and laser alignment as required; and ensuring compliance with safety and project rules throughout the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant field experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Document and plan work activities independently.
• Safety and project rules adherence.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, layout plans and manuals to determine procedures.
• Dismantle machines using hand tools.
• Move machinery using hoists, dollies and trucks.
• Assemble and install equipment using cranes and tools.
• Construct foundations for machines with wood, cement, steel.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, levels.
• Possess knowledge of optical and laser alignments.
• Install robot and modify its program.
• Operate engine lathe to grind parts.
• Load, transport, and unload materials.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning.
• Observe safety and project rules.
