Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Journeyman with 3+ years of field experience to read blueprints, install equipment, and align machinery. You will dismantle, assemble, and secure machines using cranes, hoists, and hand tools, while maintaining safety standards on site.

The role requires the ability to interpret drawings, plan work, and operate various tools and machines to exact specifications. A strong foundation in foundations, alignment, and basic maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with years of field experience.
• Under instruction with limited independent judgment.
• Performs functions using established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and drawings to determine procedures.
• Dismantles machines with hand tools.
• Moves machinery using hoists and dollies.
• Assembles and installs equipment with cranes and power tools.
• Constructs foundations using basic materials.
• Aligns machines with hoists, jacks and precision tools.
• Knowledge of optical and laser alignments.
• Bolts, welds or secures machines to foundations.
• Operates engine lathe to shape parts when needed.
• May install robot and modify its program.
• Uses transit and level for setting equipment.
• Loads and unloads materials and supplies.
• Performs maintenance, cleaning, or repairs.
• Observes safety and project rules.
