Job summary

Austin Industries is seeking a Millwright to install, repair, replace and dismantle heavy machinery in industrial settings. You will align equipment, connect power units, test operation, and perform assembly and disassembly as part of a team.

Qualified candidates typically have 3–5 years of Journeyman experience and strong blueprint-reading and mechanical skills. We offer ESOP ownership and comprehensive benefits in a leading construction firm.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Must be able to install, repair, replace and dismantle industrial machinery.
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of alignments and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Replace defective parts and adjust clearances and alignment.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, and micrometers.
• Connect power units to machines and test operation.
• Repair and lubricate machinery.
• Assemble equipment using hand and power tools.
• Move machinery using hoists, dollies, and rollers.
• Dismantle machines for shipment; install at sites with team.
• Read blueprints to lay out mounting holes and bedplates.
