Job summary

Aramark seeks a Journeyman Millwright to support operations at the General Motors Global Technical Center, a historic campus. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of mechanical systems and building infrastructure.

Active Journeyperson license or card is required. The position involves working in a non-manufacturing facility environment with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Millwright certification or 8+ years equivalent experience
• Bonafide apprenticeship program documentation (4 year/8000 hour) or 8 years verifiable experience with documented proof
• Experience with overhead doors, dock equipment, and HVAC systems
• Welding and fabrication experience required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair overhead doors, dock levelers, dock locks, and truck restraints
• Maintain and repair Air Handling Units (AHUs) and make-up air units
• Perform belt replacement, sheave alignment, and related mechanical work
• Diagnose mechanical failures and perform corrective repairs
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities
• Document work performed and provide equipment condition feedback
• Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce downtime
• Follow all safety policies including LOTO and PPE requirements
