Job summary

Aramark Facilities Management is seeking a Journeyman Plumber to support operations at the General Motors Global Technical Center, a large industrial campus. The role requires strong commercial/industrial plumbing and steam system experience and adherence to safety standards.

The candidate must hold an active Michigan Journeyman license or 8+ years of verifiable experience, with documentation as required. Expect to install, repair, and maintain complex piping systems and mentor apprentices on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Michigan Journeyman license or Journeyman card.
• 7+ years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a skilled trades team.
• Physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and other manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing and piping systems in a large-scale industrial facility.
• Work with water, drainage, steam, heating, cooling, and industrial process piping systems.
• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Test piping systems for leaks and proper operation.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, water heaters, and related equipment.
• Perform routine plumbing and pipefitting work independently.
• Use CMMS to document work.
• Support fabrication shop and service departments as needed.
• Follow safety and housekeeping standards.
