Job summary

The Fresno County Department of General Services invites applications for the position of Maintenance Plumber. Incumbents install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and equipment at Fresno County facilities, at journey level with established procedures and techniques.

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications: four years of related work experience, a plumbing apprenticeship certificate, two years additional experience, and a valid Class “C” driver's license.

Qualifications

• Four years of full-time experience installing, maintaining, and repairing piping, plumbing fixtures, and related equipment in a commercial/industrial setting.
• Certificate of completion from a plumbing apprenticeship program recognized by CA Apprenticeship Council, the Federal Bureau of Apprenticeship Training, or a state apprenticeship council.
• Two years of full-time experience installing, maintaining, and repairing piping, plumbing fixtures, and related equipment.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Must obtain and maintain security clearance to access Fresno County detention facilities.
